What we are sold on the streets...
The streets make an effort to sell us what they produce, that is their business; to make us think that their merchandise will make us happy. They sell us the idea that OUR happiness depends on constantly buying, having fun, "enjoying" life, free of problems, and or obligations.  "The less I do and the more comfortable I am.... the happier I am."

True happiness is obtained when we feel useful and indispensable, by doing something for another and by being able to overcome our problems.

The Talmud does not consider a single man happy, since true happiness is obtained through responsibility, commitment, and the obligation of looking after the needs of a family.
